Thank you for the intro.
The idea is to have a fun quiz for all to enjoy. I would welcome any feedback be it good or bad!

I've had a couple of emails regarding how the cashpot works, so here it is for the record......
week 1. a number between 1 and ? (however many weeks we intend to let the cash pot run for, let's say 10) is picked out of a hat unseen and sealed in an envelope.
quiz is run, prizes are given out and the winning team get to choose a number from 1 to 10 - they do not win the cash pot (50% of entry cash), this carries over.
week 2. quiz is run, prizes are given out and the winning team get to choose a number from the 9 remaining numbers - they do not win the cash pot, this carries over.
week 3. quiz is run, prizes are given out and the winning team get to choose a number from the 8 remaining numbers - they do not win the cash pot, this carries over.
and so on for weeks 4 to 10, until the ten numbers are all gone. Then we open the sealed envelope from week 1 and see which team has got the winning number that wins the accumulated cash pot!!! _________________ MisterBridger

Last night saw the first quiz and I would like to thank all those who took part. I hope those that did attend enjoyed themselves and tell those that didn't.
Well done to "The Two Young Men" who won on the night just beating the "Finance Team" by one point. I would also like to mention "The Two Old Farts" who entered the second half of the quiz and if had scored like that in the 1st half would have definately been in the running to win. I would also like to thank "S&D" and the "Rovers" for their valliant efforts. Maybe better luck next time.
Regards

Just want to say thanks to Clive, The first Quiz was very enjoyable, what a laugh.
Lets hope all those who missed it make the next one, it would be such a shame if this doesnt take off because of lack of support, after the obvious effort made by the Quiz Master to make it fun for all.
And if dumb blonde & finance chairman can come second the questions cant be too taxing!

Hope you had a good time though Sue.
Congratulations to the Clangers on their win. It was a close run in with Im Missing The Apprentice For This just losing out after leading most of the way, you might want to call youself Arsenal next time!!!! No Garry could have won but played their joker too late, unlucky guys. The 3 Degrees were fourth with consistant scoring throughout, no weak subjects there!! And finally the rear of the field was brought up by The Chuckle Four and Dave's Chicks, both of whom debated the answers long after the round and often plumped for the wrong option. Sometimes go with you initial answer.
I must thank the committee for their promotion of the quiz. The signs and flyers were superb and were repaid with increased numbers. Hopefully the attendance will improve for the next quiz on the 25th June.
If anybody has a topic they would like to see questions on in future quizes please let me know.
