Late Bar for Saturdays

Postby MisterBridger on Wed Jan 23, 2008 4:57 pm

The Club will be serving drinks until 12.30 on all the Saturday nights in February as a trial run. Entertainment will be on until later than usual followed by Ant & Decks Karaoke Disco to finish the night. If this proves successful, we may extend the bar until 1.00 am as the City Arms does at present. :D :D :D

I have personally been of the opinion that closing earlier than a pub just 50 yards away is tantamount to giving money away. Almost everyone still drinking in the Club at midnight strolls over the road for the last hour, often myself included, and puts another fiver over the bar at Wetherspoons! Absolutely CRAZY! And our friends at 'Spoons will turn on the cold air blowers at 1.00 am and have you out on the street at 1.20 am sharp wether you've finished your drink or not! :(

Of course not everyone may agree - have your say in the poll :D

UPDATE

Strike a blow for common sense! The late bar is a permanent fixture until further notice.

Who's for a 1.00 am finish?
